#AllBoobsMatter

Hey everyone it is October. Best month ever!! Fall is here , Halloween time is here and So is Breast Cancer Awareness month!!!

4 years ago my photographer Joe Alven and I set out with a handful of models to start the support of the hashtag AllBoobsMatter. We have had many different themes in the past 3 years , all you have to do is type in #AllBoobsMatter and it is everywhere!!!

So this year I am hoping to outreach to many different people in different states. FOR A SELFIE CHALLENGE!!!!

When I was in highschool I had a bestfriend as we all do. I loved her mother to death and thought of myself as the other daughter. When Sue was diagnosed with breath cancer, it scared me. This was the first real brush with anyone I loved having to deal with this. Sue worked so hard and believed in herself and went into remission. We all Celebrated. She saw the birth of her first grandchild and enjoyed life so much. Then it came back. Only this time it spread and became so much worse . Spinal Cancer took Sue from us. I had no idea cancer could spread and become something else. I then set off to learn as much about cancer and everything. On my journey to understanding I learned that men also get breast cancer. And that sparked my idea to make the motto for men "Check your boobs to save your balls" Since men have breast tissue, they can get breast cancer, but it's rare. About 1 percent of all breast cancer cases in the U.S. occur in men. It may sound like a small number, but that's still more than 2,000 new cases expected each year. Also, about 400 men in the U.S. are expected to die from breast cancer each year. In 2018, an estimated 266,120 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 63,960 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer. About 2,550 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in men in 2018.

And even this broke my heart. Animals get breast cancer to. Breast cancer is an equally important disease in dogs and cats: It is the most common tumor found in female dogs and the third most prevalent tumor detected in cats. Even wild cats can develop the disease — in a study that looked at captive lions, leopards and tigers, 11 out of 26 of these animals had breast tumors.

This year I want everyone to make a sign and take a selfie and #AllBoobsMatter and share it .. Have other people do it and share it!!! Lets spread the word !!!!!
